Whilst we were established to offer spiritual and religious Buddhist support to our community throughout Scotland, we have organically grown to a community support organisation. Our duties include:
Race Hate Crime support and reporting
Domestic Abuse support and reporting
Homelessness and Destitute
Mental Health support
Financial and Food Poverty support
Isolation and Social Integration support
We are also the single point of contact for Police Scotland for any notable issues relating to Thai and Buddhist community. Moreover, we are the Scottish Prison Service liaison for Buddhist prisoners requesting support
We rely solely on community donations. With the cost living crisis, inflation, energy prices rising and UK Home Office Immigration fees rising (for our resident monks) our efforts to fully support our community are becoming ever more challenging financially. With your kindness and help, it can make such a difference.
